	Keith Rasmussen, O.D. Keith Rasmussen, O.D received his Doctorate in Optometry from the Pacific University College of Optometry. Dr. Rasmussen joined Vance Thompson Vision in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in July 2004 after practicing with Eye Care Associates of Nevada. He is a member of the South Dakota Optometric Society and the Nevada Optometric Physicians Association and is recognized for his numerous contributions to community service and vision care initiatives. Dr. Keith Rasmussen joined Vance Thompson Vision in July of 2004 after spending the previous year with Eye Care Associates of Nevada in Reno, Nev. He is a current member of the American Optometric Association, the South Dakota Optometric Society and the Nevada Optometric Physicians Association. Dr. Rasmussen graduated with distinction from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Ore., in 2003. He split the 2002-2003 school year between Tyndall Air Force Base Hospital in Tyndall, Fla., and the Salt Lake City Veterans Administration Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah., after spending May through August of 2002 at the Applewood Vision Clinic in Denver, Colo. He was also active in the community during these years, contributing his time and talents to such organizations as the Oregon School for the blind and the Child Services Department in Portland, Ore. He completed a study entitled “An Epidemiological Overview of Pediatric Visual Impairment in the State of Oregon” over the course of 2001 and 2002.
	Alison Tendler, M.D. Alison Tendler, M.D. is a LASIK Surgeon in South Dakota at Vance Thompson Vision in Sioux Falls where she performs all types of Laser Eye Surgery including Bladeless All Laser LASIK and Custom Wavefront LASIK Eye Surgery. Dr. Tendler received her Medical Degree from the University of South Dakota and completed her Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota. In addition, Dr. Tendler attended a Fellowship in Cornea and Anterior Segment Surgery at Albany Medical College where she concentrated on the vision surgery for the correction of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. As a Corneal Specialist in South Dakota, she is a specialist in LASIK Surgery and all types of Laser Vision Correction. In additon to performing LASIK in Sioux Falls, Dr. Tendler treats cataracts in South Dakota with advanced "no stitch, no patch, no injection" small incision eye drop anesthesia cataract surgery in South Dakota where she utilizes near vision presbyopia correcting lens implants such as the Crystalens Lens Implant. Dr. Alison Tendler is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is a native of Clear Lake and commited to providing world class Cataract and LASIK Surgery to South Dakota eye care patients.
	Vance Michael Thompson, M.D. Vance Thompson, M.D. is the Director of Refractive Surgery for Sioux Valley Clinic in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where he provides Laser Eye Surgery including LASIK, Custom LASIK, Intra LASIK and other all types of Lasik Eye Surgery. He serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of South Dakota. Dr. Thompson received his Medical Degree at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine in Sioux Falls and completed his Residency in Ophthalmology at University of Missouri. In addition Dr. Thompson completed a Fellowship in Refractive Surgery at Hunkeler Eye Centers in association with the University of Missouri. Dr. Thompson has been serving the medical and surgical eyecare needs of patients in the greater Sioux Falls, South Dakota area for over 15 years. Dr. Thompson has been instrumental in the development of Laser Eye Surgery including LASIK and Custom Lasik, serving as an Investigator in the FDA Clinical Trials for the correction of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. He has providing Laser Eye Surgery with the Excimer for more than 10 years. Dr. Thompson continues to play an important role in the development and refinement of techniques for LASIK and other Lasik Eye Surgery procedures through his role as clinician, teacher and researcher and is recognized around the world for his contributions and Lasik Eye Surgery publications. He has performed tens of thousands of Laser Eye Surgery procedures including LASIK, Custom LASIK, Intra LASIK and other Lasik Eye Surgery procedures as well as Lens Implant procedures for high myopia. Dr. Thompson has a patient care philosophy of providing Laser Eye Surgery patients with individualized and personalized care at every step of their LASIK or Custom Lasik Eye Surgery experience in greater Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
	Doug Wallin, O.D. Doug Wallin, O.D. received his Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Houston, where he received numerous clinical excellence awards including the Overall Clinical Excellence Award.. Dr. Wallin completed a Residency in Refractive and Corneal Surgery Care including advanced study in LASIK Eye Surgery at Houston Eye Clinic under the direction of Steven Slade, M.D. Dr. Wallin entered practice to pursue his interest in Laser Eye Surgery including LASIK Eye Surgery and then joined Vance Thompson, M.D. in Sioux Falls to further specialize in Corneal and Laser Eye Surgery such as LASIK and Custom Lasik Eye Surgery. After a brief departure from Vance Thompson Vision in 2002 and 2003 to serve as Clinical Director of The Laser Vision Center at Black Hills Regional Eye Institute in Rapid City, South Dakota, Dr. Wallin returned to Sioux Falls and rejoined Dr. Thompson in August of 2004 at Sioux Valley Clinic - Vance Thompson Vision. Dr. Wallin has been involved in the advanced clinical care of Corneal Surgery, Cataract Surgery and LASIK Eye Surgery patients since 1991. He has participated as an Associate Investigator with Dr. Vance Thompson in FDA Clinical Trials of Laser Eye Surgery including LASIK and Custom Lasik Eye Surgery and publishes and teaches in the areas of LASIK and Laser Eye Surgery.
